Digital Readiness – Google Searching Techniques

As part of the BCA Induction Program, a Digital Readiness Session on Google Searching Techniques was conducted by Asifkhan Yusufzai. The session aimed to develop students’ ability to search for, identify, evaluate, and access relevant and reliable information using Google and other digital resources. Students were introduced to effective search strategies, advanced Google search operators, query refinement techniques, and methods for improving the accuracy and relevance of search results. Through practical activities, students learned to frame precise search queries, refine their searches, identify reliable information, and use online resources efficiently. The session strengthened students’ digital literacy and information-searching skills while developing their ability to critically evaluate online information. It also equipped students with practical digital skills that support effective academic research, independent learning, and future professional requirements.
