Hardware Workshop

The BCA Department, T. N. Rao College conducted a student-led technical learning activity in which SY and TY BCA students took the initiative to facilitate learning for FY BCA students. The session was designed to strengthen students' foundational understanding of computer hardware through presentations, live demonstrations, and hands-on exploration. FY students were given practical exposure to identifying hardware components, understanding their functions and placement within a computer system, examining internal components, and observing the procedure for opening a computer system and fitting components such as RAM. The involvement of senior students as peer facilitators provided an effective platform for knowledge sharing and allowed them to reinforce their own technical understanding through explanation and demonstration. For junior students, the activity transformed basic hardware concepts into a practical learning experience, improving their confidence in identifying and handling computer components. The initiative promoted peer-to-peer learning, technical competency, practical exposure, communication, and student participation, while strengthening the connection between classroom concepts and their practical application.
